As I analyzed the different social media platforms for the WestJet and Qatar Airways. I found the strong as well as the weak points of both the companies. I found that West Jet is lacking in making a good position on Instagram and is unable to provide attractive discount offers for travelling.
- I am creating this campaign for WestJet Airways.
- My idea is to create attractive offers for people through Instagram.
- My audience is today’s youth and adults.
- My idea could be described with the help of the following scenario. As today’s youth and adults are too much tired from their daily life and want to spend some relaxing time. I would create on offer in which there would be a lucky draw and out of 5000 applicants, 3000 applications would get a chance to go to the Bahamas at a 50% discount of the regular ticket price. The applicants only need to follow the official account of WestJet on Instagram.
- My goal is to have 2 million followers on Instagram within one year.
- I am going to launch this plain during the summer-time because the Bahamas is famous for its beaches and awesome weather that combats the summer. So, that is the peak time when people go to the Bahamas.
- To launch this campaign, I would use Instagram and Facebook. Because these are those social platforms which are most widely used by youth and adults in today’s world. As of today’s youth like to post their everyday activities mainly on Instagram and Facebook. So, they would spread this offer like a wildfire with their friends.
- This campaign would attract the people as most of the people want to go to a cool place during the summer and want to spend the less amount of money. So, my offer is an excellent option for the people as the criteria for getting the offer is not tough as well as the prize is also great.
So, with the help of this campaign, WestJet would be able to attain a good number of followers on Instagram as well as create a good amount of sales during the summer season.
